SR-THINNER is a high-performance synthetic polymer in liquid form. It is an environmentally compatible, high performance, multipurpose mud conditioner for rheology control in water-based muds.

SR-THINNER is a new generation mud conditioner developed from the liquid polymeric deflocculant for fresh and saltwater muds, especially at elevated temperatures of 450 ‘F and above. The primary application is in fresh and brackish water muds of low to intermediate density. A special feature of SR-THINNER is its excellent tolerance of salt, calcium and other contaminants. In environmentally sensitive areas, SR-THINNER simplifies wastewater treatment and reduces compliance costs because it is essentially non polluting in the low concentration. The product does not contain chromium or other metal salts. further, it is free sulphite origin products common in conventional mud thinners and deflocculant.

SR-THINNER drilling fluid retains a light colour and has water clear filtrate. This simplifies mud filtrate analysis. Reserve pits stay clear and clean. It is effective in the concentration of 0.2 to 2.5 ppm depending upon the degree of deflocculation, high-temperature stability and fluid loss control required. In general, heavyweight muds will require a higher concentration than unweighted muds. It is 7 times as effective as chrome lignosulphonate, that is, one pound of SR-THINNER replaces up to 7pounds of lignosulphonates.

Lignite Powder is a naturally occurring material used to reduce fluid loss and deflocculates water base mud. Lignite Powder is a partially soluble additive which provides thin, low permeability filter cakes. It is an excellent emulsifier for oil in water emulsions as wells a secondary deflocculated and is especially effective in high-temperature applications. It performs exceptionally well in a dispersed system as a synergistic additive with lingo sulphonates. It can be used in virtually any water base fluid. Lignite Powder may be used for rheology and filtration control in all water-based muds. It is especially effective at stabilizing the properties of muds exposed to high temperature and contamination such as CO2 and calcium. Lignite Powder is especially effective when treating cement contamination. It reduces the high viscosity and pH of cement contamination muds and reacts with calcium to lessen the contaminating effects. Normal treatment of Lignite Powder range from 2.87 to 22.7 kg/m³.Due to their low pH, it’s treatment require additional caustic soda or an alternative alkaline material to maintain a consistent pH. In high salinity systems. it is preferable to premix the Lignite Powder in Medium pH fresh water to enhance dispersibility then add the premix to the active system.
