SR Thin is a high-performance synthetic polymer in liquid form. It is an environmentally compatible, high performance, multipurpose mud conditioner for rheology control in water-based muds. SR Thin is a new generation mud conditioner developed from the liquid polymeric deflocculated for fresh and saltwater muds, especially at elevated temperatures of 450 ''F and above. A primary application is in fresh and brackish water muds of low to intermediate density. The special feature of SR Thin is its excellent tolerance of salt, clay, calcium and other contaminants. In environments tally sensitive areas, SR Thin simplifies wastewater treatment and reduces compliance costs because it is essentially none polluting in the low concentration. The product does not contain chromium or other metal salts. Further, it is free sulphite origin by-products common in conventional mud thinners and deflocculants.SR thin fluid retains a light colour and has water clear filtrate. This simplifies mud filtrate analysis. Reserve pits stay clear and clean.SR Thin is effective in the concentration of 0.2 to 2.5 ppm depending upon the degree of DE flocculation, high-temperature stability and fluid loss control required. In general heavyweight muds will require a higher concentration than unweight muds.SR Thin is 7 times as effective as chrome lignosulphonate, that is, one pound of Drill-Thin Thinner replaces up to 7pounds of lignosulphonates.

The development of chemical bonds contributes to a stronger tridimensional structure and mechanical strength improves proportionally to the amount of binder. Our binder has poor solubility in water but is emulsifiable.
